Greetings visitors! My name is Becki Rizzuti and I've been on Squidoo for going on three years now. I thought that by now it's time for me to think about updating my profile to tell you more about who I am and what I'm doing here, since (let's face it) so much has changed.
MY BOOK REVIEW POLICIES
(Somebody remind me to make a new lensography, would you? Thanks!)
My reasons for being on Squidoo have changed dramatically over the past two and a half years, and I'd like to share with you a little bit about the person who I am and the person I've become through my time here.
Squidoo really is an awesome platform. I started out over on Hubpages nearly three years ago and I really did love it. I wrote a lot of hubs in a very short period of time and even participated in the original Hub Challenge (to write ONE HUNDRED hubs in 30 days -- NOT 30 hubs in 30 days!). I never did make it, but I had a lot of fun over on Hubpages. Several people suggested that there was a benefit in not putting all your eggs in one basket, and that's how I wound up coming over here, to Squidoo.
I love Squidoo. There are some major advantages to writing for Squidoo that you don't get anywhere else. While it's certainly true that a lens takes me about two or three days to complete and a Hub takes me just under three hours, I've noticed that I feel more motivated on Squidoo. The community is, in general, friendlier, and there is a certain wonderful pleasure in watching your lensrank finally rise and rise (or fall and fall, if you'd rather think of it that way).
I wasn't really making money on either platform. There was more traffic coming up on Squidoo for most of my pages (though I have a few very hot hubs over on Hubpages) and that was encouraging. I stuck around here quite loyally for two years, and boy am I glad that I did! Gradually more and more of my lenses are making their way into the top two tiers, and I'm finding that perseverance and frequent updates really do pay off with Google and the other search engines!
I write about a lot of different topics, but my current favorite is The Hunger Games. I've always been an avid reader, and The Hunger Games is my most recent obsession. I also write about other young adult book series, including Twilight. I have a book blog where I participate in book blogging memes.
Recently I'm starting to spread myself out a bit more. I'm writing on Hubpages again, but I've also added Wizzley and Zujava to my repertoire as well. Like I was taught, I'm learning how to not put all my eggs in one basket, so that I can integrate pages together to create the best possible portfolio of pages.
I am by no means the best writer on Squido (or Hubpages, etc), but I work hard to produce the pages that you'll find on my account and I try not to simply put sales in front of your face. My goal is to inform you as much as it is to guide you to products that I think you'll love. I hope that you'll enjoy the portfolio that you find here and that you'll continue to visit and check out my profiles on other platforms!
