Woman Rescues Rare Bird From the Middle of the Road and Asks TikTok for Help
Australia is home to all kinds of unique animals, and we just learned of one more to add to the list. We came across this animal while watching @reeebs1's viral TikTok video after she rescued it from the middle of a busy road, but the question still remains: what is it?
The mysterious rescued bird was as calm as can be the woman held it in disbelief. Luckily, her shock faded into relief as TikTok helped her identify the animal and what to do to help.
OMG! When she said she had an owl in her hand, we were expecting a baby owl... not whatever kind of bird that is! No wonder this video is taking so many people by surprise.
"'It’s one of these ones.' Oh. Ok. Glad we cleared that up," joked @taqotaqo. LMAO! We were equally as confused by that explanation, but thankfully there were native Australians who recognized the bird almost immediately.
@Mclaughlab explained, "That’s not an owl. It’s called a ghost bird/ Potoo or a Frogmouth. Either way, I’m very surprised you found that." They must be very rare! They're certainly very unique, so we understand why this bird's rescuer was so flabbergasted.
"Accept your Hogwarts letter and it will move on," @hollylebanc7 said. Haha--that's an amazing comment! Unfortunately, the animal needed a bit more help than that, though.
We're so glad a vet was able to take the bird in!
