Man Gifted with 'Dog Parade' For His 100th Birthday and It's Just Perfect

What a wonderful surprise!

If you could have anything for your birthday, what would it be? I've always been a fan of a celebratory (dog-friendly) vacation, but I think the family of dog-lover Robert Moore had an even better idea. For his 100th birthday, his family organized a neighborhood 'dog parade' so Robert could meet some new furry friends.

Not even Robert could have guessed what happened on the day of the dog parade, though. As @abcworldnews shares, over 200 dogs stopped by his San Jose, California home to wish him a happy birthday!

If you ask me, this is quite possibly the best way anyone has ever spent their birthday. With a neverending supply of birthday wishes and furry friends, one couldn't ask for much more.

It melted my heart to see how the well-behaved dogs, the adults, and the children all had fun making Robert's centennial a special day. From the classic car drive-bys to the dogs carrying cards, everyone added a personal touch that makes this gesture even more special.

Now that Robert's dog parade has become such a hit, his family will have to prepare for an even larger turnout next year! I know I'd love to bring my dogs, and so would tons of other Bay Area pet parents

Since we have to wait a whole year for Robert's birthday to come around, though, we'll be thinking about Bark in the Park in the meantime. This outdoor dog celebration takes place every September at Williams Street Park in San Jose, and it's actually the nation's largest dog festival. You'll find everything from agility competitions to holistic pet care, so you won't want to miss it...and neither will Robert and his family!
