20-Year-Old Dog Left Heartbroken After Owners Surrender Him to Florida Shelter
Dax is a 20-year-old Weimaraner that was surrendered to a rural Florida shelter and was thankfully taken in by Big Dog Ranch rescue where he found a new loving home.

According to its website, Big Dog Ranch Rescue is the largest no-kill, cage-free shelter in the nation and they've saved over 50,000 dogs since 2008. After the rescue posted about this sweet senior dog on TikTok, Dax had tons of people asking about how they could give him a new forever home.
Here's the amazingly sweet update the rescue posted to Instagram.
The caption reads, "We are overjoyed to announce our beloved DAX has found a forever home! Yesterday, our dedicated team at Big Dog Ranch Rescue transported DAX from his temporary foster, Jozel who graciously cared for DAX while we searched to find the perfect home that would give DAX the love and care that he deserves for the remainder of his life."
Everyone is overjoyed that Dax has found a new loving home and @Kim comments, "So happy for Dax and his new family! He deserves the world." @Dawn adds, "He looks happy. I'm so glad he found a loving home!" @Donna comments, "I am full of tears of joy! Thank you for giving us an update because I was truly wondering how Dax was doing. You guys are the best."
What an absolutely wonderful rescue this is and what a beautiful happily ever after for Dax.
