Adrienne Farricelli
Adrienne Farricelli is a dual-certified dog trainer, behavior consultant, and a former veterinary assistant. She has been working professionally with dogs now for almost 20 years with a focus on ensuring that dogs lead happy lives and stay occupied with fun games and mental activities.
Adrienne's Milestones:
Since 2005, Adrienne has been a published dog blogger and author for several publications. Her work has appeared on USA Today, Daily Puppy, Nest Pets, Reader's Digest, and several print publications such as Every Dog magazine and the APDT Chronicle of the Dog.
Her articles have also been used as references in several books, including books by Caryl Wolff, Nicola Fergurson, Pilley Bianchi and Marc Bekoff, Ph.D.
In 2006, Adrienne started working for an accredited animal hospital where she assisted veterinarians in a variety of tasks including patient triage, conducting rounds of hospitalized pets and working closely with a veterinary specialist.
In 2007, she started volunteering for the local shelter fostering and training pets in need of temporary homes and assisting vets working for the shelter.
In 2010, after undergoing 219 hours of apprenticeship under a master dog trainer, Adrienne was certified as a dog trainer and behavior consultant by the Italian Association for Dog Trainers and Canine Consultants (A.P.I.C.C).
In 2011, Adrienne obtained certification from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. This has granted her the title as a CPDT-KA.
Adrienne then established Yellow Creek Dog Training in Missouri, later expanding to Arizona, where in 2012 she launched Rover's Ranch Home, a successful dog training and boarding facility.
In between boarding and training, Adrienne kept on producing articles and established her own writing company A to Z Dog Publishing, where she produces articles, books, and dog-related videos for online and offline publications.
As a certified dog trainer, Adrienne is required to continue her education, so she frequently attends courses to keep up-to-date with the latest dog training and behavior modification trends.
Her membership with the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC) also helps ensure she's in the loop with the latest methods.
In 2013, Adrienne attended a college course on canine theriogenology at the University of Minnesota and a course on Dog Emotion and Cognition from Duke University.
In 2018, she completed two courses and attained certifications in Hospice and End-of-Life Care for Dogs.
In 2023, Adrienne attained a diploma in Canine Behavior Science and Technology through the Companion Animal Sciences Institute (CASI) and graduated with Distinction. This has granted her the title of Dip.CBST.
This is an intensive program at the masters level that equips dog behavior consultants with a deep knowledge of the scientific principles of learning and behavior so as to effectively solve behavior problems, including complex cases such as separation anxiety and aggression.
Adrienne's Training Approach
Adrienne's training focuses on the rewarding world of positive reinforcement training and gentle behavior modification techniques.
She thrives on sharing knowledge about little-known dog facts, and providing info that has been thoroughly researched and supported by studies and esteemed canine professionals.
Following the passing of her beloved Rottweilers, Petra and Kaiser (aka "Einstein"), Adrienne has been currently spending her time between Florida and Italy where she conducts studies on the behavior of local street dogs and provides support to dog owners struggling with behavioral challenges.
