Baby Turkey's First Day Outside with Mom at Sanctuary Is Cuteness Overload

She's just so precious!

Whether you're a dog person, a cat person, or even a bird person, it's impossible not to smile when watching a rescued animal living their best life. Just think about how many viral videos there are of dogs meeting their new families or exploring their new homes! They can warm almost any heart, and they even inspire others to rescue an animal friend of their own.

As for The Gentle Barn and the sanctuary's owner, Ellie--they're way ahead of the game! They use their animal sanctuary spaces in three states (California, Missouri, and Tennessee) to give animals of all species a home where they can thrive, and they share many of their residents' stories with their social media fans.

Currently, people are obsessed with the sanctuary's newest baby turkey, Stella! First, fans got to know the turkey, and then they got to name her! Now, though, she's exploring the outdoors for the very first time.

What a special day for Stella and her mom! Brave must've loved sharing her daily routine with her baby for the first time, though we don't think anyone loved this October 19 video more than Ellie herself. She's just so encouraging and loving with the baby bird, and it's just beautiful to see!

"I love that they can be relaxed and safe forever," commented @sarasar. Exactly! These rescued turkeys will never have to worry about predators, traps, or hunters while living at The Gentle Barn, which is something we wish we could give to every animal.

Naturally, many people are praising Mama Bird for being such an attentive parent while Stella explores the outside world. She's the perfect bird to show her the ropes--even though she's a rescued bird herself-- but there's no question that their online fans, or 'bird watchers,' if you will, will be keeping up with them the whole time!
