Beagle’s Heart Sinks After Realizing He Can’t Match the Fancy Life of Dave Portnoy’s New Pup
It's good to be one of Dave Portnoy's dogs — it's kind of bad to be every other pet. Okay, not really. But one dog mom had to break it to her Beagle recently that he wasn't going to be living the high life like the Barstool Sports founder's new dog, Pete. And he didn't take the news well at all.
The Beagle's mom Deanna Warren, of Upstate, New York, had to set her dog straight — just in case he was going to start asking for sparkling water in his dog bowl or a personal chef to make his kibble.
Warren had a lot of bad news to break to her dog. And she recorded the whole thing in an adorable video online.
"Do you know that Dave Portnoy got a Beagle?" she asked her own dog. "Isn't that crazy? Yeah, you know what that makes you? Really poor in comparison to that Beagle."
Perhaps she saw the video of Portnoy taking his new Beagle Pete on a private jet shortly after meeting. Pete's bound to live the good life!
"I'm doing the best I can!" the woman joked to her dog, who was having a hard time dealing with the fact that his fellow Beagle was going to be living a very different lifestyle than him.
"Breaking the news to my Beagle that one of his family members is living in royalty," the dog mom joked in the video's caption.
People were cracking up over the dog's tiny temper tantrum. "The little huff after being told he’s poor," one person teased. "The way his ears went down and huffed when you said 'really poor in comparison,'" another commenter pointed out. "That Beagle went from a shelter to a private jet quick," mused one person, referring to Pete. "My Pittie has been protesting for a while now…" kidded another commenter.
Portnoy Recently Announced That Miss Peaches Was Getting a Brother
It was only days ago that Portnoy took to Instagram to announce that his rescue Pit Bull, Miss Peaches, was going to be a big sis.
The very next day, Portnoy flew to the Lifeline Animal Shelter in Atlanta, Georgia to pick Pete up. Introducing your dog to the new puppy can be sort of scary. But from the very first time that Pete and Peaches met the two seemed to hit it off.
The two then took a trip on a private plane. "I'm trying to teach Pete how to fly private!" Portnoy joked in the video's caption.
It seems like Pete has settled in pretty nicely since getting adopted. Life is now good for sweet Pete.
