English Bulldog Has People So Confused With His ‘Bulldozing’ Problem
We can all admit it — dogs are sometimes completely baffling. Not all the time, mind you. Most of the time they're absolute angels. But every once in a while they do things that are completely incomprehensible. Like one English Bulldog, who has his mom totally confused by his behavior.
The dog mama was out for a walk with her dog Lennie when he started doing something totally strange.
It was definitely something that we've never seen before. Things kicked off as the two got closer and closer to a nearby gate on their walk.
"Someone please tell me how to stop my dog bulldozing gates," the video's voiceover said.
What does that even mean?! Sadly, the dog mom showed us that answer. First Lennie stopped right in front of the gate. His mama warned him to leave the gate alone, but then....he rammed right into it with his shoulder. Hang on little guy — what did the gate ever do to you? Even after Lennie had made his point he still looked at the gate like he was ready for round two.
People online were also pretty baffled. "He looked at you and said 'watch this,'" joked one person. "I mean I dunno what I was expecting but not that," another commenter admitted. "Bro looked for witnesses before he made his move," someone else joked. "You can't. That beef goes back generations...you just need to let him handle his business," teased another commenter. "This has literally made my night, it’s when he thinks about it for a bit while looking at the gate then does it," another person added.
Bulldog Personality
It's not exactly clear what's going on here, but it's not totally out of the realm of possibility when you know a little about Bulldog personalities. Overall Bulldogs are sweet, loyal, and surprisingly a lot smarter than people give them credit for. But they definitely have their gloomy side too.
English Bulldogs can be pretty darn stubborn, in fact they have the reputation for their "selective hearing" — meaning they will ignore any requests or instructions that they don't want to do. Bulldogs can also be sort of moody. They'll sulk if they feel slighted. They can even stare at the wall and won't stop until they're ready to be done.
Bulldogs are rarely aggressive towards humans, but can be aggressive towards other dogs. They were originally bred for fighting, so this shouldn't be a surprise. But what still boggles the mind is Lennie's beef with the gate near his house. We guess it was personal, huh?
