Video of a Cat Comforting an Injured Fawn Is Quickly Going Viral
Introducing pets to new animals can be a stressful situation. You never know how either of them will react. That's why it's important to be supervising them at all times. And always set your expectations low that way when it ends up turning out like a Disney movie, your heart will jump for joy.
TikTok user @themeow_squad found a little injured fawn in the backyard. He was watching over the baby until wildlife services came and surprisingly, one of his cats decided to help. Take a look!
O.M.G. Stop! We can't handle all this adorableness. We love that he supervised the fawn and his cats to make sure they both stayed safe. Luckily, this Savannah Cat wanted nothing more than to comfort the fawn. As it turns out, the fawn had a broken leg. There's no doubt in our minds that the cat offering comfort made this baby feel a little bit safer. Or we hope!
"No nails, just little paw boops, very cute, very gentle cat," wrote @rubyserenityy. Right?! We're blown away at how gentle this cat was. Typically cats want no one else in the house. It's their kingdom. But somehow animals have an unspoken bond and they know when each other is hurting. This is why we don't deserve animals!

As much as we would've loved this TikToker to keep the fawn because clearly, this cat loves the baby, he did the right thing. We know wild animals are adorable and you might think you can keep them, but you really shouldn't. People who try to make pets of wildlife or feed them are just doing these animals a disservice. Wild animals are evolved to eat certain kinds of food, human-imprinted animals can rarely return to the wild, they might become aggressive or unhappy in homes, and humans might not be aware of any special needs. Plus, veterinary care might not be available for certain species. Keep the wild in the wild!
