Grieving Owner Has Late Cat 'Freeze-Dried' So They Can Be Together Forever

The death of a pet is so hard!

Soren High, a clothing designer from Portland, Oregon, shared to TikTok how she is honoring her beloved pet Lokicat after Lokicat was killed by a dog High was fostering. By paying $3,200 to freeze-dry her.

This video has gone viral with close to five million views and after watching it you can't help but mourn along with @Teapourn.

High explains in the video description, "When I got Lokicat as a kitten, I knew this was how I was going to deal with her death. I knew I never wanted her to be gone, and that I wanted to always have her with me. Her death was sudden, even though she was 16. We never expected this would happen and especially by a dog we had been fostering. This situation broke us into a billion pieces. After finding a home for the dog, we had Loki preserved through @Animal Family Pet with help through donations and raising funds with memorial fabrics and pieces. Her preservation cost nearly $3k and it was worth every penny."

High is so matter of fact in the video and we also can't get over how her sense of humor is intact, especially when she says she hates packing peanuts with a passion. Us too, girl. And her saying she thought her poor dead cat would be packaged like a crockpot! The mood changes so suddenly when she pulls our her cat's heart that has been encased in ceramic and she starts crying! So sad! When she pulls Lokicat out of the box we really weren't expecting him to look that beautiful and her reaction is just so touching.

TikTok users agree and @Tracy says, "I did not expect to get emotional over this. I was very wrong." @Bailey adds, "I was hesitant at first but seeing your baby made me cry so hard. To be able to hold him again is probably so many emotions, thank you for sharing!" @Lili replies, "First I thought thats kinda weird. But seeing you holding her and cry… I started crying with you. Thats definitely something I will do if one of my cats dies."

I'm not sure I would personally do this, even though I love my cats deeply and I will be devastated when it's their time to go. I'd probably make a nice donation to a shelter in their name because $3200 could help a lot of stray animals, but I can't fault High for mourning in her own way.
