‘Dink’ Dad Gives His Golden Retriever the ‘Airbud’ Treatment During Day at the Lake
One Golden Retriever is living the good life, and it's all because of his owner. The man is a "DINK" (Double Income No Kids) so naturally he's going to spoil his fur-child. And people are cracking up at the hilarious way the dog dad showed his pup the good life.
It was a bit unconventional, but the man decided to show his pup how much fun the lake could really be.
Leah Cason was there when the man got his dog involved in the day's activities. He was hydroflying and decided to bring his dog along. Using a firm grip on the Golden Retriever, the man slowly lifted out of the water. Then the two were airborne! The Golden was so calm the whole time, no squirming or whining. While this certainly isn't advisable for every dog, in this case it seems like the pup was safe.
"Daisy just needed to release her inhibitions," Cason joked in the caption.
The comments section was impressed. "Congrats on being the first dog in dog history to ever be on one of those water hoverboard things. Canine version of the wright brothers. Crazy," wrote one commenter. "Her friends are never going to believe her," someone else teased. "I’m telling my kids this was Airbud," another person joked. "The dog's two truths and one lies is about to be insane," kidded another commenter.
What Is Hydroflying?
Similar to wakeboarding, hydroflying is another way to have fun on the water. Some people know the activity as flyboarding or hoverboarding, but they both are different names for hydroflying. Both use similar equipment; a pair of boots attached to a board with jet nozzles at the bottom. The board is attached to a hose, which feeds water up and through the jet nozzles, propelling the user into the air.
A hoverboard will typically have the jets at the back of the board, so as to give the user a more "surfing-like" experience. The end result is similar in both situations, although there are slight variations in movement. A flyboard will allow the user to go higher in the air, while a hoverboard will allow them to move vertically more easily. Each activity will work a different part of your body too. The flyboard is known for being a bit easy for beginners, but in general people tend to choose the option that will give them the specific experience they want.
No word on which activity dogs tend to prefer. We guess someone will have to ask Daisy!
