Dog with a Brain Stem Injury Learning to Play with Other Pups Is Everything
The brain stem is a crucial part of the central nervous system and dogs with brain stem injuries can have issues with walking, standing, playing, and things like swallowing food and water.
The TikTok account for @adventuresofmaddie posted a video of their sweet dog Maddie, who not only has a brain stem injury, but she is also partially blind, trying to play with other dogs and it's just so precious.
She's just too sweet. TikTok users agree and @Dave says, "She's just happy to be there. 10/10s good girl." Awwww. @S comments, "She’ll get the hang of it. She probably doesn’t understand how they’re making it happen since she doesn’t know they don’t suffer from the same issues." @Reggie replies, "Her face running toward you like 'look mom I’m playing too!'" @Deanna notices the same thing and adds, "She’s doing great! Love her expression coming back to you! “Look I’m doing it mom!” @Dalice says, "I hope you keep bringing her.She will find the confidence and she will find her groove. She looks so happy."
Maddie's owner is doing everything right by having her interact with other dogs. Dogs will brain stem injuries can suffer from depression so taking her outside and having her interact with other pups can only help her. This entire situation is just too sweet. You go Maddie!
