Mom's Handmade 'Corn on the Cob' Costume for Her Golden Retriever Already Wins Halloween
It's nearing the end of September, which means time to wake everyone up. Spooky season has arrived and if you're not already thinking about your Halloween costume, you're behind. Actually, it doesn't matter what we wear. It's all about our fur babies' costumes.
TikTok user @katieandchandler shared on September 19 one of the costumes she made for her dog last year. She reposted this idea as it was her most viral clip. Plus, it's downright adorable. Would you make this Halloween costume for your dog?
We don't care if this costume is from last year. This dog mom did an AMAZING job and we can't wait to see what she comes up with this year. Although, we don't think her Golden Retriever was necessarily a fan of the costume. LOL! If only he realized how cute he looked, then we bet he wouldn't mind wearing it.
Forget about putting time and effort into our Halloween costumes, we'll be dedicating all of our extra time to our pets' costumes. Anything to get our dogs ready and picture-perfect for this spooky holiday. We better start getting their costume together now because there might be dog-friendly Halloween parades even before the holiday. No time to waste!
When it comes to finding the right size, follow these tips on how to measure a dog for a costume. Use a soft tape measure and measure your dog's chest, neck, and length from the neck to the base of the tail. Be sure to measure it loosely so your dog has enough room in the costume. To measure the chest, begin at the front legs and then go around the body. A pet's safety should be your top priority if you're going to dress them up for Halloween. You want to use a gentle touch when putting the costume on and don't force it. Never, ever put anything over their nose or mouth as this can block their breathing. Be safe and have fun!
