Video of Shelter Dog Whose Owners Turned Their Back on Her Is So Sad

The life of a shelter dog is never easy, but can you imagine adjusting to a new, isolated life after being rejected by your family? That's the difficult reality for Lola, a 5-year-old shelter dog in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After being rescued as a stray and returned to the address on her microchip, her former family 'slammed the door in her face,' and left her to face shelter life alone.

Luckily for Lola, The Humane Society of Broward County is giving her tons of love while they help her find her true fur-ever family. She's got tons of life ahead of her, and we know she's going to spend it being absolutely pampered.

Sweet Lola girl! We feel so sad for her and everything she's been through, but we know she's in good hands now. In fact--she was adopted just days after this video was posted! "PUPDATE: Lola has been adopted!," wrote @humanebroward. We are oh-so-happy for her!

Honestly, though, we aren't at all surprised that she was scooped up so quickly; like commenter @queenchristine63 said, "Aw she’s adorable." From her gorgeous markings to her polite demeanor, there's just so much to love about her. Just like any pup!
