Child’s Celebration for First Day of Kindergarten Backfires on the Dog
The new school year has arrived which means first-day pictures are filling our timelines again. We love seeing how excited our nieces and nephews look holding up their signs about the grade they're in. But after watching an August 9 video from TikTok user @blakemakesmusic, we need these first-day celebrations to turn up a notch.
The little girl in the video was so excited for her first day of Kindergarten that she popped open some confetti. What sounded like a good idea hilariously backfires on the dog. Take a look!
LMAO! We've watched this a hundred times already. This poor Sheepadoodle dog was only trying to celebrate with her sister who was about to go off on one of her biggest days in life thus far. Instead, the dog named Susie looks like she's ready for a Taylor Swift concert.
No amount of sparkle will keep a dog entertained while the rest of the family is at work or school. Luckily, there are plenty of ways to keep your dog entertained while you're out of the house. The first thing any dog owner should do is make sure their fur baby's needs for socialization, play, exercise, and mental stimulation are met. You don't want to rely on just the enrichment activities you leave them while you're gone. The more you work on meeting your dog's needs, the more likely they'll be calm and tired when at home alone.
Putting out enrichment activities is just an added bonus to help keep our dogs less bored at home. Examples you can do include organizing a treasure hunt with your dog's kibble so they will have to use their nose to find the pieces around the house. There are plenty of dog puzzles that are perfect to keep your dog entertained as well as frozen treats in kongs. Both are great for mental stimulation too. A little planning and preparation will make your time going back to work or school without your doggo a little easier.
