Little Dog's Reaction to 'His Girl' Returning From College Couldn't Be Sweeter
When my family adopted our dog, a mischievous cockapoo named Carter, I fell head over heels in love. He came home during my very first week of high school, and by the time I was ready to choose a university, I knew I couldn't move far away. I could call or video chat with my family and friends, but staying connected to Carter would be more tricky.
Luckily, the perfect school for me wasn't far away at all. I was able to come home most weekends, and the greeting I got every Friday was the highlight of my week! It made me smile from ear to ear when I watched this viral TikTok video of Waffles the Havanese puppy, because he greets his favorite girl in the very same way.
Waffles' mom, Manya, surprised the pup with the heartwarming visit from his sis who's home from college, and there isn't a dry eye in the room!
Aww! That is pure joy right there, and I would watch it forever if I could. The excited puppy could hardly believe his eyes when he first saw 'his girl' was home, but that disbelief transformed into bliss in an instant!
I loved that I wasn't the only one feeling the love in @manyasmalley's video, either. Commenter @luluham put things in perspective when she explained, "No one will ever be this excited to see you." It's true! Dogs love their family unconditionally, whether they're home 24/7 or just returned from college.
And let's be real--it's so much fun to see the different ways dogs show their happiness! From licking and tail wagging to the little cries Waffles let out, there's no wrong way to say, 'I'm happy to see you.' Combined with this puppy's energy, though, this Havanese's greetings are over the top! After a long day, week, or even year at college, though, that's exactly the kind of welcome a student needs.
