Dog's Pitiful Attempt to Make Friends with the Cat Takes a Funny Turn
Cats and dogs are more than capable of being friends, but that doesn't mean they always will. Especially when someone is new in the home, it can take some time, patience, and even a bit of convincing, before the two species become friends.
In a hilarious video from @emilykircher, Millie the Golden Retriever and her new tabby cat 'friend' prove that they aren't always going to get along. Even though Millie gives the feline her best puppy dog eyes, the cat just isn't having it.
LMAO! We can't say that we're overly surprised to see this cat swatting at Millie, but it was still rather startling to watch. No wonder the friendly Golden went flying away from the paw of fury!
"Every cat owner knows that bop is coming," wrote @jennifer_macc. That's so true! Even non-cat owners could see it coming, but that didn't make it any less shocking to see. Especially with the sound it made!
@Nicholettblanco said exactly what we were thinking: "the hit made the poor pups head sound empty." It really did! We know there must be a brain in there somewhere, and this innocent Golden will definitely have to use it next time she considers cuddling up to the spicy cat.
Then again, this is a great example of sibling love at its finest! There are many times when both siblings are on different pages, and that seems to be the case for these two. We don't know if Millie is new to the home or if her tabby friend is just feeling irritable, but we do know that their tiff has helped them go viral.
