Ontario Woman Makes Desperate Plea After Dog Goes Missing on Her Wedding Day
Many people, especially brides, wait excitedly for their wedding day years before they even meet their partner. It's supposed to be a day full of love and celebration, but one Canadian bride is remembering her wedding day for all the wrong reasons.
Sometime in the chaos of the evening, the woman's extremely skittish Pomsky was lost by her dog sitter. The senior pup weighs about ten pounds and requires medical care, so her owner is understandably panicked. We hope that, by spreading the word about the lost dog's disappearance, more and more people in the Lake Wilcox, Ontario area will keep an eye out for her.
Here's what we know so far, based on @picklesnort's October 20 video.
We are so devastated for this bride. Clearly, her sweet girl means the world to her--just look at the dress she wore walking down the aisle! Needless to say, the Pomeranian mix's owner has been sharing information about the missing dog all over the Internet.
As the TikTok video explained, the dog was last seen near the Lake Wilcox and Oak Ridge areas of Richmond Hill, Ontario. However, the owner acknowledges that she could be anywhere in Ontario by now, especially if a person has picked her up. This Pomsky pup was wearing a clear collar with a star-shaped tag and no leash at the time she disappeared.
Based on a photo posted to the Richmond Hill Reddit thread, she's also wearing a black AirTag that last pinged around 295 Douglas Rd. in Richmond Hill. The thread also reveals that this happened on the night of October 14, so it's been even longer than we thought.
If located, the dog should not be called or chased. She may be tempted with dog treats, but the owner asks that anyone who spots her call the number on the flier immediately.
No one would ever imagine that one of the most honored guests would be lost on the wedding day, but unfortunately, other brides can relate. Commenter @ilikedogsmorethanyoy shared, "The same thing happened to me on my wedding night. I am so sorry." This only goes to show how important it is for a wedding dog sitter to get to know their clients. After all, an extremely skittish dog may be more likely to run away!
