Dogs Think They're 'Parked' When Dad Drops Their Leash and It's Too Cute
If there's one thing almost all dogs love to do, it's to go on a walk. And once dogs are trained to walk on a leash, walking two dogs at once isn't as hard as it might seem. That's why I loved this story so much - these two goldens are trained and know exactly what to do when dad drops the leash!
@Gamja and Chip are golden retrievers and brothers who love going on walks. Their humans taught them that when they drop their leashes, the dogs stop, or 'park'. They try several different scenarios, and the same thing happens every time!
They're so cute! They think in order to walk, dad has to be holding the leash. They keep trying to hand it to him, but he's not taking it, so they keep parking themselves. They're both so confused by everything going on! The dogs are worried about dad trying to walk without a leash - he needs them to help him. Luckily dad finally grabs the leash and trouble is averted.
People got a kick out of the duo. @Mario Escobar says, "You can’t have your human off leash!!" @Allyson shares, "You hold that leash right now!! These sweet babies need you to!"
While it might take some time, training your dog to walk on a leash is worth the time. The key is consistency, rewarding, and correcting behavior as needed. Once training is completed, they'll look forward to hearing, "Let's go" or "Walk" and be ready to get their leash on for another adventure.
