Woman’s Hack for Helping Dogs Cool Off on a Hot Day Is Too Good to Miss

Now that the weather is starting to warm up, you're probably going to want to spend as much time as possible outside with your dog. Hiking, long days in the dog park, maybe even a day at the beach or two — these are all great ways to enjoy the weather with your pup. But before heading out, you might want to take a look at an incredible tip one woman is sharing on TikTok to keep dogs cool in the heat

As a dog-mom to a Golden Retriever named Pearl and a Blue Merle Australian Shepherd named Kona, @pearlyandkona knows a thing or two about dog care. So it's no surprise that she came up with a brilliant way to hack your dog's toy for the summer. And you need to see it for yourself.

"I take some of their favorite toys and I put them in a Tupperware container and put them in water," she explained. Then she put the Tupperware in the freezer — although she added that if your dog doesn't love ice cubes like her dogs do, you could use bone broth.

People in the comments section were loving this helpful hack. "I love your videos, you have such clever ideas! I’ll be using bone broth!" @liz_sent wrote. "I add blueberries and strawberries or watermelon too! My dog love these!" @gro0804 added. "Add some fruit and veggies too or treats that they like," @kellyapunt chimed in.

Of course, it's not a foolproof method for all dogs and you should always check in with your vet before feeding your dog anything new to their diet. But if you're looking for a way to beat the heat, this is a great summer day activity.
