Sweet Ginger Cat 'Helping' Mom Do Laundry Has Cat Parents Feeling Seen

He just wants to help!

Pets enhance our lives in so many ways that it can be hard to remember what life was like without them. They make the mundane infinitely more interesting, and they add a little comedy to every day. Even if you're just getting things done around the home, you'll have way more fun with your furry friend by your side.

Kaleo's mom will agree! This doting cat owner has three fur babies to keep things interesting around the house, but even she was surprised when Kaleo, an orange and white tabby cat, tried to 'help' with putting away the laundry. If you ask me, he's just having fun while his mom works around him, but the November 3 TikTok video is priceless nonetheless.

OMG! This little acrobat practically leaped into the laundry basket, and that set the tone for the rest of the chaotic interaction. Luckily, his mom didn't seem to mind at all. Her little helper kept things interesting as she unloaded clean clothes, which is more than most of us can say on laundry day.

Commenters like @delaksec loved Kaleo's "aggressive purrs," and it's easy to see (or hear) why. He's one happy cat! Orange cat brothers Kona and Kaleo, or Lei Lei, are always up to some kind of sweet shenanigans, while tabby cat sister Kai prefers to lounge around like the angel she is. It's so fascinating to see how cats' personalities shine in different ways, and these feline siblings are the perfect examples!

Cats naturally love to burrow, so it's no surprise why Kaleo is curious about the laundry basket. But do you know the best part? The laundry might even be warm! Everyone knows the comforting feeling of wrapping up in clothes straight out of the dryer, though I'm sure plenty of indoor cats know this feeling, too. It's the best!

Orange Cat Behavior

Although one might think that a cat's fur color has no relation to their behavior, cat owners and behaviorists both think otherwise. Dr. Dwight Alleyne explains, "There have been studies that have shown these cats tend to be the friendliest, calmest and easiest to train based on owner feedback."

The other running joke is that orange cats collectively share a single brain cell. Maybe it's their curious spirit or their lack of inhibitions, but it's hard to deny that these cats tend to find themselves in random, troublesome situations. Luckily, their sweet nature and love for their people always make up for orange cats' strange behaviors. Just look at Kaleo! He's perfect exactly the way he is, even if he has no idea what he's doing sometimes.
