Golden Retriever Therapy Dog Soaking Up Attention on a College Campus Is Impossible to Resist

We're not sure who loves this more!

I enjoyed every semester of my college experience, but that's not to say I wasn't very, very stressed. Between studying, attending classes, running a club, and maintaining some semblance of a social life--I was frequently overwhelmed. Fortunately, my university offered many resources to help us manage both our time and mental health. My favorites, by far, were the therapy animals.

Not only did professional therapy dogs visit the campus on a regular basis, but they also had a very social tortoise in the counseling office, too! Rescue organizations occasionally brought puppies to campus for socialization once it was clear how popular the animal events were.

It makes me so happy to see college students being comforted by a therapy animal, but in Bellini the Golden Retriever's case, the students are comforting her right back. In fact, she's loving her new job as a therapy dog, especially since all she has to do is sit back and be petted!

Aww! This sweet girl is soaking up every second of love and attention from her college friends. She's found the perfect job, and her new clients all agree that she excels in her field. She's soft, friendly, and absolutely adorable!

Therapy dogs are a great resource for college students to relieve some of their stress, but there are countless other places where these animals make a difference. Hospitals, nursing homes, and first responder offices can all benefit from having a furry friend around!

Just ask the staff and residents at Michigan's Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility. They recently adopted a shelter dog named Scout who repeatedly escaped the shelter and found her way to the nursing home's comfy sofa. It may have been a happy accident, but she's making everyone in her new home so happy!

This sweet pup and her family are behind the Instagram page mojito_rose_family, where we're bound to see even more of the Golden's adventures as a therapy dog.
