'Golden Retriever Fiance' Gifted Golden Retriever Puppy in Heartwarming Surprise
TikTok and Taylor Swift may have made the 'Golden Retriever boyfriend' the new ideal male aesthetic, but it's a surprisingly accurate way of describing some guys. To meet this description, a man has to share a few key qualities that we know and love in our furry friends, such as a deep love for their people and a happy-go-lucky nature. The list goes on and on, but you'll often know a Golden Retriever boyfriend when you see one!
In Ashley's case, however, she has a Golden Retriever fiance. He is outgoing and energetic, and his dream dog is--you guessed it--a Golden! So when she surprised him with his dream puppy on June 3, she knew his reaction would be one to remember. And she was right!
This is the sweetest thing! Junie B, the puppy, was already so loved the moment her new dad laid eyes on her, and I have a feeling she knew it, too. She seemed so curious and comfortable from the first moment she was in his arms!
"I think he needed her," wrote commenter @wozmama. I think you're right! Ashley agreed that he needed the puppy love just as much as Junie B needed her new parents, but what matters most is that they're a happy family now. Raising a puppy has its challenging moments, to be sure (starting with that nose bite at the end of the video), but watching them grow and explore the world is worth a few nips and accidents.
It's been one week since the Golden Retriever puppy came home, and she's already the queen of the castle. She's had a blast meeting new family members (she can meet more canine friends once she finishes her puppy shots), cuddling with dad, and napping all over the house. Needless to say, her proud new parents are on cloud nine, too
Raising a Golden Retriever
Although Golden Retrievers are naturally loving, loyal, and gentle (why do you think they're so popular?), they still require lots of patience, training, and love to grow up well-behaved and happy. Puppy training is a must for all new dog owners, though the best thing you can do for your puppy is to establish consistent routines and expectations as soon as possible.
On the other hand, you can't expect a young puppy to get the hang of new things immediately, either. The term 'practice makes perfect' applies perfectly here, so be sure to keep rewarding your puppy for good behavior and redirecting unwanted behavior. Soon, they'll be all grown up and as polite as can be.
Two-month-old Junie B has a lot to learn, but for now, she's taking in every sweet moment of this new life with her Mom and Dad. Congratulations to the new family!
