Golden Retriever Can't Hold Back His Kisses When Meeting the Family's Newborn

Have you ever seen a dog more excited to meet a newborn?

Bringing home a new baby to the family when your fur baby is already home isn't always a walk in the park. Some dogs get very jealous that there's a new kid on the block. That's why it's important to take cautionary steps to allow for a proper introduction.

But other times, parents get lucky and their dogs are already in love with the newborn. That's what happened with TikTok user @airbudkobe. This Golden Retriever just couldn't hold back his kisses when meeting his new sibling. Take a look!

Brb, we're crying over how cute this is. We'll need a minute. LOL! The way he sat so nicely after taking a quick sniff of his new baby sister absolutely melted our hearts. And then, of course, we lost it when he said, "Sike" and gave her a wet sloppy kiss. Talk about love at first sight!

"That was so kind of you to be a surrogate for your dog's new baby!" said @itscaitlyn02. HA! For real though, at this rate, Kobe the dog is going to think that's his baby. Wouldn't be the first time that happened with a dog and the newest family member!

We're honestly always blown away at how dogs know to be gentle with babies and toddlers. They somehow just know these tiny humans don't pose a threat to them. Even if that's the case, it doesn't mean they're automatically fine with each other. You still want to introduce them slowly. Close supervision should be used at all times when dogs and children are together. And if you can't do that, make sure they're separated. It's always better to be safe than sorry!
