Golden Retriever Named ‘Kevin’ Shows off His Kevin-Themed Halloween Costumes & It’s Priceless

Which is your favorite?

I always love when people name their pets names generally given to humans, like this Golden Retriever named Kevin. His pawrents decided to find Halloween costumes that allow him to live up to his name, and the video is cracking everybody up. It was posted on Monday, October 28th, and it already has thousands of views and comments. People are loving it!

The first "Kevin" costume that Kevin puts on is one related to Kevin Hart. What Kevin's humans said about the next costume, Kevin Spacey, made me laugh out loud! Watch on to see all the different Kevins that he portrays. It's hard to pick a favorite!

I think for me, his Kevin Bacon costume was the star of the show! Commenters enjoyed all of Kevin's costumes as much as I did. @InTheShallow shared, ""Actually, don't be him" LOL! Thank you for clarifying that, I was kinda shocked when I read that name." @dorothyfegiel added, "We truly considered naming our dog Kevin Spacey eight years ago and settled on Flash. News broke a couple months later. Never name a dog after a person!" @Impact Dog Crates laughed, "The wig falling off!!!!" Another commenter said, "I hope Kevin the wonder dog gets a big treat for doing this post!!! Great job buddy!!" One thing's for sure, people are getting a huge kick out of this adorable Golden Retriever!

Halloween Safety Tips for Dogs

Halloween is a fun time for us pet pawrents because we get to dress up our fur babies in funny, cute, or scary Halloween costumes. Kevin seems to enjoy getting dressed up, but not all dogs do. If your dog isn't a fan of putting on clothing, it's best to just skip doing it, as forcing them to can lead them to feel a lot of stress and anxiety, and that's not fun for anybody. Instead, why not put a cute headband or necklace on them to show they're still got their Halloween spirit.

Kids are going to be bringing a lot of candy home after trick-or-treating, so make sure that they understand that dogs cannot have chocolate. Chocolate is highly toxic to dogs because it contains both theobromine and caffeine. Even a very small amount can cause vomiting, diarrhea, breathing difficulties, seizures, and even death. Dogs should also never be given any candy that is labeled sugar-free. Sugar-free candy contains xylitol which is also highly toxic to dogs. If they eat it, it causes their blood sugar levels to drop rapidly, which leads to lethargy, instability, seizures, and in worse case scenarios death. Play it safe and keep all candy out of your dog's reach since none of it is good for them.

There are some decorations that can harm your dog, too. Annie-Mae Levy, a professional dog trainer at Woofz, mentioned one that many people don't realize can be a problem. "Fake spider webs might make your skin crawl, but many pets will have no qualms about getting tangled in and eating them. Artificial fibers aren’t easily digested, so intestinal blockages are a real worry. If your furry friend is too fearless for their own good, stick to paper decorations that won’t put them in harm’s way." If you're going to decorate with fake webs, make sure they are out of your pooch's reach.
