Golden Retriever Wags Tail with Pure Happiness After First Time Hearing Grandpa Play Guitar

He's so full of joy!

He's his number one fan! A Golden Retriever on the internet couldn't stop admiring his grandpa — or should we say, grand-paw — after watching him perform as a musician for the first time. He was spellbound! It was honestly magical for us to watch too.

McKenna Hiller was stunned when she noticed that her Golden was giving her dad some extra-special attention during the performance. There's nothing like a grandpup being proud of their grandparent.

As the woman explained in her caption, she was "still not over" seeing her Golden react that way. Who could've expected that the dog would be as enraptured as he was?

Grandpa had the Golden Retriever's full attention as he sang. The dog's tail was wagging so fast and then he laid down so he could take it all in. What a good boy! You can tell the dog is just so proud of his pawp!

"POV: Your Golden Retriever sees his grandpa play for the first time and this happens," Hiller wrote in the video's caption.

The comments section was so incredibly touched by their love. "He’s like 'that’s my grandpa,'" wrote one person. "I love that grandpa is clearly playing for his grandson too!" added one commenter. "Him turning back and smiling, that’s my grandpa," chimed in another person. "Tail is movin' just as fast as the beat!" someone else pointed out.

How to Know if You’re a Dog’s Favorite Person

Dogs can pretty much get along with anyone, but it really does seem like they favor certain people over others. You might be your dog's favorite human. But if you really want to know for sure, you need to look at their body language and behavior.

Sadly, dogs can't tell us that they're digging us. We have to look at the nonverbal clues they give us to know how they feel. Dogs are pretty clear in their affection, however. Like if your dog follows you around the house. That can be a tell! Dogs usually like to hang around people they feel safe with. So if they like you, they'll follow you around like they're your shadow.

Dogs will also look happier when they're with you too. They'll have a relaxed face, with their mouths upturned at the corners. Their tails will wag and they'll just seem happy when they're with you. They'll probably come over for a cuddle or two. They might even leave you a toy as a present. Basically, you'll know it when you're your dog's favorite person. You'll be the apple of their eye!
