Golden Retriever 'Dog of Honor' Steals the Wedding Party Spotlight at His Mom's Nuptials

He's the dog of honor!

On a couple's wedding day, all eyes are on the bride and groom. An adorable flower girl or funny drunk groomsman might steal the spotlight for a moment, but it's hard to forget what you're celebrating when you're at a wedding. Everyone's there to celebrate love--even the four-legged friends!

On October 8, wedding photographer Kailee Marie proved that pups are ready to party, too. She set up the sweetest photo of the bride and groom's Golden Retriever, and he couldn't be happier to be the center of attention. Honestly, I think I need to try this photo with my dog when I get married next year!

Aww! This proud pup couldn't be any cuter if he tried. He's posing so well, and even looking at the camera, but nothing can top that priceless smile on his face. I'm surprised I don't see a giant tail wagging, too!

I can't get enough of the tuxedo-style dog bandana that this gorgeous pup is wearing. It's a great alternative to dressing up a pet, and it looks just as adorable. Clearly, this dog's parents planned ahead to make him a part of their special day!

"My son," gushed commenter @alyssarae.esthetics, "thank you for capturing us & him all day." OMG--it's the bride! Sure enough, the only content on her page has to do with the Golden Retriever named Winston, and literally every pet owner can relate. Do you even have a dog if you don't record their every move?

Naturally, tons of viewers are asking to see the photo that came from this once-in-a-lifetime moment, but @kaileemariephotography is keeping us waiting. Still, it's nice to see more pets included in weddings! Whether it's a dog sharing a couple's first dance or a cat serving as a wedding witness, there are so many ways a furry friend can be a part of their parents' big day.
