Mario Lopez Mourns the Loss of His Beloved French Bulldog in Heartbreaking Post

Even though we know the day will eventually come when we'll have to say goodbye to our pets, it's never easy, no matter what age they are. Yesterday, actor Mario Lopez announced on Instagram that he and his wife, Courtney, had to put down their beloved 13-year-old French Bulldog, Julio.

He captioned the post with, "Tough day. After 13yrs we had to put down Julio. He was an awesome dog… A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself. Once you have a wonderful dog, a life without one, is a life diminished. Julio... Thank you, I love you and I celebrate your time with us." Mario included a series of photos of himself and his family with the sweet pup.

So. Heartbreaking. Comments with condolences are pouring in on the post, and so many people wanted to express their deepest sympathy for Mario's loss. Everyone feels so terrible for him and his family. His wife, Courtney, also left her own response on the post, saying, "My baby. I’m broken. 💔." We can't even imagine. This has to be especially hard for Mario and Courtney's kids as well, given that they grew up with Julio and don't know a life without him.

We're all sending our condolences and wishes for comfort to this family as well. May they find peace in all of the wonderful memories they shared with this precious little dog.
