Mom Has Most Heartwarming Realization About Her Toddler’s First Doodle

This made us cry.

Growing up with a dog is so magical. And as a parent, there's no greater feeling than watching your baby and your pet become the best of friends. A Doodle named Mostly has the sweetest relationship with his human sister. But their mom recently had a realization about their relationship that's bringing other parents to tears.

The toddler has known Mostly her whole life, but as her mama recently remarked, the Doodle has been with her even longer.

Over a compilation of clips of the Doodle and his sis spending time together, the mama shared the thought she recently had.

"When you realize the dog you got in your 20s is now your daughter's childhood dog and will be the answer to her security question one day," the video's text overlay states.

"Realizing that my first dog will also be her first dog," she added in the caption.

Are you crying? Because we're going to need some tissues — STAT. "I feel like dogs are the best and worst heartbreaks to ever experience in life," wrote one person in the comments section. "My childhood dog is my security answer as a grown adult in his 30’s," another person shared. "I want my dog to meet my children just as much as I want my parents to," someone else admitted. "My childhood dog is the answer to my security question, and my pin for everything. He passed when I was 20, I’m 32 now and I still have pictures of him around my house too," another commenter agreed.

If you need even more Mostly cuteness, check out a second video on the page which shows the Doodle getting some lovin' from his little sis.

Is there anything better than this? Their love for each other is so sweet.

Benefits of Raising a Child With Dogs

It shouldn't be a surprise that there are many benefits to raising a child with a dog. There have been lots of studies into the topic, which have shown there are numerous positives to having a pup in the home.

Self-esteem can be so precarious during adolescence, but taking care of a pet has been shown to help with a child's self-esteem. Kids with dogs tend to be more compassionate and dogs are often a huge sense of support for kids, who can tell their issues to their pet. Dogs can give kids better cognitive skills, less stress, and make them happier and healthier. It doesn't hurt that they can give kids a sense of responsibility too. It sort of seems like there's not a lot of reasons not to get a pet — they can really make a house a home.
