'Benny the Ice Skating Dog' Is Quite the Sensation

You've probably seen dogs who cruise along on skateboards. Or those who ride bikes, snowboard, and even know how to waterski. But hang on just a minute because if you truly think you've seen it all, a Yellow Lab named Benny is about to say, "Hold my beer." This pup is so darn cool, he actually knows how to ice skate, and in hockey skates, nonetheless. Apparently @vegaskingbenny has been doing his thing for a while, but he's picked up quite a bit of steam in recent weeks thanks to some cool new videos his owner has shared.

Did we mention that his skills on the ice are so on point, he even has his very own hockey stick that he carries around? Get a load of this guy. Here he is taking the rink by storm last week, to the tune of Frank Sinatra's, "New York, New York."

Does he skate like a total boss, or what? And here he is again, this time rocking out to an Elton John tune.

Oh, and you have to see him all decked out in his Santa suit at Christmas. What a cool guy.

Benny's ice skating skills have him racking up followers on the Gram, but it's his back story that makes him even more endearing. This sweet pup was actually rescued from a kill shelter in Salt Lake City the day before he was set to be euthanized. Can you even imagine?

We're so happy that his loving owner adopted him before it was too late, not only to give him a wonderful forever home, but because he's now bringing joy to so many people who love keeping up with his regular skating sessions.

A couple of days ago, Benny set off on another adventure and had his bags packed to head to New York City!

Will we get to see a video of him skating at Rockefeller Center or in Central Park? Fingers (and paws) crossed!
