With Valentine's Day just a few days away, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden wanted to send out a special message of love to the world, and she brought in First Dog Commander to help! The video message was shared on YouTube, and it features scenes of Jill and Commander playing at the White House and also viewing the upcoming Puppy Bowl on a large movie screen, which couldn't be more fitting. After all, Puppy Bowl XVIII is airing on Sunday!
In the clip, Jill shares words about why she thinks having pets in our lives is a true gift. You'll want to watch the clip to hear exactly what she has to say.
"What's so wonderful about having pets is that they bring us unconditional love, joy, and comfort every day." Truer words about animals were never spoken! There really is nothing quite like the love of a pet, regardless of whether you have a dog, cat, rabbit, guinea pig, or any other animal, for that matter.

President Biden announced that Commander had joined their family just before Christmas, as is seen in this Twitter post from the @potus account.
After the loss of their dog Champ at the age of 13, which happened last June, it was only a matter of time before they opened their home to another pup. And while Commander has no idea that he's living with the most well-known family in the United States, something tells us he's settling into his new digs very nicely.
Surely he'll be showered with some extra kisses, cuddles, and play time on Valentine's Day!
