Video of Cat Greeting His Bunny Every Morning Is the Picture of Sweetness

It's known in the animal community that cats are individualistic animals, marching to the beat of their own drum. Although, that varies from cat to cat. Orange cats are thought to be a friendlier and more affectionate breed, which is evident in this recent clip from TikTok user @freedomfarmhouse. 

The video shows how this orange cat named Pumpkin goes over to greet her special friend every single morning. It puts the meaning of a cat's love in a whole new perspective. 

Be still our hearts! This is the type of love story they make movies about. We truly weren't expecting a cat to befriend a bunny, but hey, the internet continues to show us the unexpected. The best part about the video is that the cat isn't forced to go over and say hello. She just wants to. Does it get any more adorable than this?!

Some viewers were wondering how this precious morning wake-up even started. The creator posted a separate video sharing that Pumpkin and Bugs have been friends since she was a kitten. They first started seeing each other through the cage. Pumpkin would stick her paw through and give Bugs a precious, friendly little boop. Slowly but surely, they graduated to being in the cage together. And now, even Bugs gets excited to see his bestie. 

This friendship might have not taken off as quickly if they tried introducing the bunny to an adult cat. But never say never! Kittens tend to have a better chance of adapting to other animals or new environments. If you do want to introduce a kitten to another pet like a dog, you should go about it very slowly. Keep your new kitten in a safe, quiet place that they can always go back to if they ever feel overwhelmed. 

When your cat starts feeling comfortable in their new home, that's when you can slowly start the introductions. Keep the meetings short and positive. Always supervise the meetings as well. Remember, slow and steady is the best way to go about this. Patience is key!
