Pit Bull Keeps Bringing Possums Inside for Sleepovers and It's a Riot
Boomer the Pit Bull may be one of the friendliest dogs ever, because he invited a neighborhood animal in for a sleepover and then spent all night licking it. Which is how everyone should treat their friends.
The TikTok account belonging to @Nicole.rich33 posted the following hilarious video of her Pit Bull's slumber party guest and no, this isn't the first time this pup has invited this type of friend over for a sleep over.
For those of you concerned about this little guy being dead, no fear! Here's a following up video showing that this possum was indeed, just playing possum. Her son heroically puts the little guy in a box using a broom (and smart! Because yeah, this possum could potentially bite someone if frightened, also please see correction below*) and bringing him outside.
TikTok users are loving these two unlikely pals and @Mikayla comments, "He said well he’s in the house so he’ll get dinner, a blanket and a pillow like everyone else here." LOL, he's such a gracious host! @Dolly adds, "The friend is very comfortable you can’t kick the friends out." @Sharla replies, "Mine did once! The best part was I let her back in and didn't even notice until my daughter yelled." @Jennifer adds, "He’s like god mom you never let me have any fun!" LOL! @Saundra says, "You will love my house! Food, water, snacks comfy bed, TV, AC, you should really spend the night! Mom and Dad won't care!"
We aren't sure, but it may be time for mom to consider getting Boomer a more appropriate friend, like a dog of his own to share couch space with. Maybe then he'd stop bringing home strays off the street!
* An earlier edition of this post said the possum may have rabies, and according to The CDC, "People might worry about rabies in animals that don’t often carry the virus, like opossums or squirrels. But these animals hardly ever have rabies." A correction has bene made.
