Playful Dolphin Flipping Through the Air Will Definitely Make People's Day
If I had to pick a favorite ocean animal, it would probably be the dolphin. They always look so happy and seem like they're having so much fun! So when I stumbled across this video that @LADbible posted on Instagram posted last week of a playful dolphin flipping through the air, I knew I had to share it!
The video, which was captured in Kaikoura, New Zealand, shows a pod of dolphins traveling through the water. One dolphin seems excited about something, and we get to see him jump high out of the water, and then start flipping through the air! As they say in their caption, "This dolphin is a MOOD!!!"
If this doesn't make your day, nothing will! He was having a blast, and I had a blast watching him do his thing. I wish the video was longer and that we could've seen more.
Commenters said some funny things about the video. @codyweingartner isn't wrong when he wonders, "Why this remind me of my kid walking through anywhere in public? LOL!" @art101vandalay points out, "This is dolphinitely cool! @bandito_brandino made me laugh when he said, "Find the dolphin in the pod that has ADHD".
I love seeing animals in the wild, in the place where they belong. While it seems that dolphins have fun when you see them at aquariums, dolphins need a lot of space, and in captivity are only given less than 1% of the space that they typically have available to them in their natural ocean environment. So I'll continue to look for them when I'm at the beach and skip visiting them in captivity.
