Baseball-Loving Pug Steals the Spotlight At LA Dodgers World Series Parade

The pup has a tiny jersey and everything!

On Friday, November 1, the city of Los Angeles finally celebrated a Dodgers World Series win. Over 2 million fans from near and far gathered to watch the iconic World Series Parade, but with such a huge crowd, people did a lot more waiting than actually watching. Luckily, a legged baseball fan was there to entertain.

Technically, this innocent little Pug was just there to enjoy the festivities with his family, but they became the star of the show during a priceless, spontaneous moment. It's safe to say that no one, including the dog's human brother, expected this to happen, but everyone embraced the celebratory spirit!

Check out the adorable TikTok video captured by audience member @kimberlyalexaa. It's impossible not to smile!

LOL! This is humanity at its finest, and I will never be convinced otherwise. It always puts a smile on my face when large crowds get excited over something spontaneous, but the fact that it's a small dog in a baseball jersey makes this scene ten times cuter.

As Kimberly mentioned in the video's description, this wasn't the first time this occurred in the excitable crowd. She explained, "This happened a few times with dogs and babies," which sounds absolutely precious! I'm sure some folks were impatient after waiting hours on a crowded street, but little joys like this make it all worthwhile.

The sweet Pug dog seems either unfazed or confused at their newfound stardom, and I can't say that I blame them. It must be so bizarre to be lifted above the heads of an entire crowd Luckily, the well-behaved pup just relaxes in their human brother's hands, and all is right in the world. Other dogs would have had none of this nonsense!

After all the waiting was said and done, fans were treated to the sight of one more surprise dog. Pitcher Shohei Ohtani brought his dog, Decoy, to the parade, even lifting them up for their own moment in the spotlight. These Dodger dogs are just too cute!

Dogs in Crowded Spaces

As undeniably precious as these World Series Championship moments are between pets and their people, it's important to remember that not all dogs would do well in a crowded space like a parade. It may be easier to carry tiny dogs rather than walk them, though even large dogs could have a hard time walking in a crowd.

Dogs with anxiety or health concerns will need to sit out these events, too. Not only will this keep them safe and comfortable, but it will allow their owners to have a better time, too. This may be the best decision for many dogs, but it's safe to say that lots of people are glad it wasn't the case for this famous Pug!
