Longest Residents at Charlotte Humane Society Have People Choked Up
If it were up to us, every loving pet would have a home to call their own. Unfortunately, our vision is pretty far from reality, but there are many animal rescuers out there who are just as passionate about finding owners for pets.
Some of those rescuers and caretakers work at @humanecharlotte, where many shelter pets are up for adoption. They recently featured their longest canine residents in a new TikTok video to get them more attention. We sure hope it works!
OMG! These fur babies are all so beautiful, and their personalities shine even in these short video clips. Wilt, for example, seems like a very social boy, while Dale seems like such a refined gentleman!
It made us smile to see how much love these adoptable dogs were getting in the comments, too. In fact, there was at least one compliment or question about every pup in the video!
@2.3manni wrote, "I will come to pick up Walrus tomorrow if you guys are open.. PLEASE. I need him." We sure hope you went to meet him! That big boy's precious spotted face made us fall for him, too, so we'd be lying if we said we weren't a little jealous.
"Is Wilt still available?" asked @laurengolya. "My life depends on it." He sure was available! As of 5 days after this video was posted, though, all of the dogs were adopted except for Shade.
We know his forever home is coming soon, but don't feel too bad for him--the Charlotte Knights basketball team is fostering him! They commented, "Shade!! We love our boy that we’re fostering right now. ADOPT HIM! He’s an angel." We have a feeling that someone will adopt him very soon!
