Cat and Staffy the Sweetest Cuddle and People Can't Get Enough
Cats and dogs are believed to be enemies, but Pip and his favorite kitty prove that theory wrong. The Staffordshire Bull Terrier really loves his cat bestie. The two were even caught spending some time together recently. Who wouldn't want to cuddle with these two?
No fighting here folks. Pip was as calm as can be when the cat came up to him. And the cat seemed more than happy to be near her BFF.
It was pretty much heavenly. The footage shows the Staffordshire Bull Terrier taking a snooze in the sun when the cat came over to nuzzle him. Not only does the cat greet him by rubbing his face, she then gives him some licks on the cheek and cleans his ear. She loves him and wants to get her scent on him! That's a telltale sign that a cat is feeling you.
"Oh sweet ones," their owner swooned in the caption.
There is literally nothing better than when your pets get along with each other. Commenters were really moved by their unlikely friendship. "I genuinely think this is what heaven looks like," wrote one person. "Nothing in this world makes me happier than dog and cat friendships," agreed another person. "Oh she loves her doggy friend so much," gushed another commenter. "My dog would be in heaven if my cat were that sweet!!!!" exclaimed one person.
Are Staffordshire Bull Terriers Gentle Dogs?
Pip is clearly a sweetie, but are other Staffordshire Bull Terriers like him? Staffies have unfairly gotten a bad reputation in recent years because of their boisterous nature. These are strong, well-muscled dogs. But they don't always know their own strength which can get them into trouble.
For the most part, Staffies are affectionate, smart, gentle, and kind in nature. They are eager to please and can be easily trained too. The problem is that these dogs were bred for sport, so they can be competitive and stubborn. They're protective dogs and will do what they need to to protect their family.
It all comes to training and how they are socialized. You can't expect your Staffy to be calm around other animals if you don't start young enough. Because of their rowdy nature, Staffies do need a strong person to train them. All dogs should be supervised around small children and animals, but if you get these things right your dog is sure to be a sweetie. Just like Pip!
