Sweet 'Polar Bear' Shelter Dog in Phoenix Has 3 Days to Find a Foster & People Are Invested

Everyone is hoping for happy news!

A woman online is putting out an SOS for the sweetest "polar bear" Pit Bull Terrier in need of a home. The sweetie, Baymax, has the best personality and loves people. But they need to find Baymax a home asap otherwise the worst will happen.

The woman shared a video of Baymax, who is currently being held at the Maricopa County Animal Care and Control and is in desperate need of a home.

The saddest part is that Baymax is only 2 years old. In the video that the woman (who posts at @desertdogproject) shared online, it shows the Pit Bull Terrier in his enclosure just waiting for someone to give him attention.

"I met a polar bear at the shelter," the woman joked in the caption, referring to the dog's shaggy white coat. "And then I learned he has a euthanasia deadline," she added. "Baymax needed to be adopted by 7/1!"

This is definitely an all-hands situation. And so many people in the comments section were hoping that someone would step in and save the poor dog soon. "He was brought in at 6/19 and only has till 7/1 that is so cruel!!! So sad and reposted hoping someone sees him," wrote one person. "I’ll pay the adoption fee if someone is interested in saving this little bear," another person offered. "Baymax!!! He literally looks like a cartoon, he’s too pure for this earth. Someone give this boy the love he deserves," pleaded another commenter. "Oh God, please, I hope somebody will love him unconditionally and give him the life he deserves," chimed in someone else.

All About Pit Bull Terrier Baymax

It's true that Baymax was only brought to the shelter weeks ago. The person who found the dog said he was "a high energy boy that’s attention seeking and did well around adults."

"He was crated when left alone and was not destructive at all," they added. Although he did get into "scuffles" over human food and toys with the finder's dogs. "The shelter is now requiring that he be an only dog," they wrote.

Since arriving at Maricopa County Animal Care and Control, staff have found him to be "a friendly, wiggly boy," who is good with physical affection and loves fetch. He is eager to please and needs to be leash trained too.

If you or someone you know is looking to adopt you can go to the Maricopa County Animal Care and Control website and fill out an adoption application. Or spread the word! Even sharing Baymax's story gets him one step closer to getting a home.
