Los Angeles Fire Station Therapy Dog Howls Along with Sirens on 911 Call

He helps comfort so many people.

Following an accident or injury, people often face physical and emotional challenges that can be overwhelming and scary. That's where therapy dogs step in to offer a comforting presence and a source of solace during these difficult times.

TikTok user @Jacksonthethefiredog recently shared an adorable video of therapy dog Jackson on a 911 call and how Jackson howls along with the sirens.

Everyone is in love with sweet Jackson and the support this therapy dog provides and @Guiliana says, "This is the greatest thing. A therapy dog for the department. If he shows up I would be calm & it would help my shock I’m sure." @Mandie adds, "If this pup showed up after I called 911, that might be all I needed. Emotional support pupper?" @Carissa sadly replies, "As someone whose house burned down (when I was a child) whose dog died in that fire... this pup would have made me sob if it showed up. I love this."

The difference between therapy dogs and service dogs are that service dogs are trained to perform specific tasks to assist individuals with disabilities. They are trained specifically to the person's disability or medical condition and to provide them with greater independence. Therapy dogs are trained to provide comfort, companionship, and emotional support to individuals in various settings, such as hospitals, schools, or nursing homes, or after accidents or natural disasters.

All we know is that both dogs provide such a wonderful service when people need them most.
