Woman Shares Heartbreaking Account of Trying to Help an Injured Hawk
Not every person would stop what they're doing to help an animal they see in distress. But for those that do, we can't thank them enough. Although sometimes, when they help, it doesn't always go the way they envision.
TikTok user @snowfrickenwhite noticed an injured hawk on the side of the road. She decided to call animal control because she thought the hawk looked disoriented. Following the phone call, the police showed up and told her that animal control was on its way and she didn't need to stay any longer. You would think that would be the end of it, but six hours later she noticed it wasn't.
Ugh, this seriously shattered our hearts into a million pieces. The creator wrote in the comments that when she noticed the hawk was still there six hours later, she called the police. "I called them and they said animal control told them it’s not injured, it’s just concussed and I said that IS an injury!" she wrote. A concussion is an injury in our eyes!
"I hope if I am ever ‘just concussed’ someone gets me treatment! Poor thing," commented @trolleysquared. That's what we're saying. We wish they would've at least looked at this poor baby.
TikTokers are flocking to the comment section and asking for an update, but there isn't one just yet. Others are offering suggestions on what to do or who to call. @palomapalace said, "Try to contain safely and deliver the animal to a rehab center. Have to watch feet but she’s so weak she probably won’t fight." Or maybe a wildlife rescue could assist. Let's just hope and pray for a positive update soon!
