If you have a cat, chances are they’ve chosen their favorite human, and everyone else in the house is just a “spare.” When JJ Jones moved into her family’s house, it came with a barn cat who she says hated everybody. It didn’t take long for the cat to make it very clear that she only liked one person: JJ’s husband.

The funny part about that is that her husband insists he doesn’t even like cats. But after watching the clips JJ shared, it’s obvious that his feelings have changed. The two are totally inseparable, and wherever he goes, the cat follows!

JJ’s video caption cracked us up: “‘I don’t like cats.’ – my husband.”

This story really hit home for me because I’ve wanted a cat for years, but my husband — who claims to be terribly allergic — always said no. Then, a few months ago, a stray neighborhood cat decided to adopt us, and little by little, she’s made herself right at home. Now she spends her days napping on the couch and cuddling with my daughter at night. And guess who greets her first when he gets home from work and slips her treats? Yep, my “allergic” husband!

Commenters’ Funny Reactions to the Guy Who Hates Cats Becoming Besties with One

Commenters had a lot to say about JJ’s video about her husband and the barn cat. Like @Matt Ramsey, who made a great point when he said, “He still doesn’t like cats. He likes cat. One specific cat.” @oilybohunk7 then shared, “We were adopted by a friendly barn cat that definitely made it his mission to win my dad over, and he was successful.”

We loved the story @Stephanie Simon shared, “Had an uncle that “didn’t like cats”. He was a good ol’ boy that did 4 tours in Vietnam. A cat showed up in his barn when he was about 50 years old, she was pregnant. Within a week he was whipping fresh cream for “Momma” every morning and roasting fresh chicken weekly for her homemade food. He cried like a baby when he sent momma cat’s kittens off to loving homes. Momma healed Mike. Mike’s life was better because of that cat. Everyone should have a Momma and every animal should have a Mike.”

@Imorchard pointed out, “Cats love people who “don’t like cats” because those folks turn out to respect them they way they like.” JJ replied, “I fear you have cracked the code.” @Diesel/Chris added, “I’ve heard that too, and they also like indifferent people too, cause it matches their energy.” @Llamadrama86 agreed, “That’s what my husband said. The cat sleeps, and he leaves it alone. I’m gonna pet it. They stand together and look out the door every day. LOL!”

I guess I wasn’t the only one who could relate to JJ’s story!
