With some great teamwork from these firefighters, they were able to rescue this little puppy, who has been appropriately named Stack. While no one has any idea how this precious little pup ended up at the top of the chimney like that, it is a relief knowing that he is now safe. The rest of the video shows Stack getting cleaned up and taken care of at Michigan Humane, where he is being nursed back to health.

“It still doesn’t feel real—I’m still in shock,” she told WCRAS while at the shelter. The grieving cat mom had spent over five years missing her fur baby, so it could take a few days, or even weeks, before her return truly sinks in.

It's unclear what Kitkat was up to during the years she was missing, but as soon as she saw her mom, it was like she never even left. "Even though it’s been a very long time," Angelique shared on Facebook, "she remembered us by greeting us with hugs and kisses."

But how did she find her way back to Angelique after so long? The shelter didn't share how she came to be at the shelter, but one important tool helped shelter staff reunite Kitkat with her worried mom.

In fact, if you spot bats flying around your neighborhood during the evening, it may actually be a very good sign, especially if you hate having mosquitoes and other pesky insects hanging around all the time (and who doesn't). To learn more about bat behavior at night and myths that surround these wild animals, we enlisted the help of wildlife expert and licensed bat ecologist, Jim Mullholland.

So what does it mean if you see bats flying near your house at night? While it might seem unusual, this common nighttime behavior is often linked to specific environmental factors and bat activity patterns around homes and gardens. Experts say there’s more to bats near your home than meets the eye—and the real explanation may surprise you.

The Most Common Reason You Might See Bats at Night

Bats aren't aimless flyers. They have very fast metabolisms, and aren't going to expend precious energy on their nightly flights unless they're getting something out of it—namely, more food to fuel their bodies. So, why do bats fly at night? You're likely seeing bats flying around your house or garden at night because that's when bats come out to feed! Though some bat species survive on fruit, nectar, and other food sources, most of the bats that you're likely to encounter stateside are going after lots of bugs, like mosquitos and moths. Even a single little brown bat, which rarely grows beyond 4 inches in length, can easily devour thousands of insects over the course of one night!

What Does It Mean When Bats Fly Over Your House at Night?

What is it that specifically makes your home an ideal hunting ground for bats and what does it mean if you see bats flying around your garden at night? According to Mullholland, it all comes down to one key factor: efficiency. Therefore, contrary to what some people may think, bats don't fly near homes so they can try fly inside them. These nocturnal animals come out at night because that's when they are awake and they are hungry.

"Bats are most active at night, and they need to find lots of food to eat as they require a lot of energy because flying is exhausting!" says Mullholland. "So they head towards houses and gardens, often where there is artificial light, because this attracts insects. They are usually circling and locating food. Around the eaves of a house is a great location for insects to congregate, so bats are just being more efficient about hunting for food."

If you have a flowering garden out back, that might also give bats some additional incentive to visit your property. Bats aren't concerned with the flowers themselves, but Mullholland tells us that they'll gladly chow down on the moths that visit them at night!

Why Having Bats Around Your House Is a Good Thing

If you've ever wondered, "Should I be worried about bats near my house?" The answer is no. Not only are bats not a threat to you, but having them around can actually be quite beneficial. In fact, seeing bats flying around your house at night or garden at night is a good sign because having these animals in your neighborhood is linked to positive environmental signs and bats therefore consider the area around your house to be a safe environment. Here are a few reasons why seeing bats fly around your house or garden is a good thing.

They're Efficient Natural Pest Control

Yes, bats chow down on bugs by the hundreds (if not thousands) every night, but more specifically, they seem to particularly favor flying insects like mosquitoes and flies—the same kinds of pests we all loathe. The more bug-eating bats there are around, the fewer insects there are to "bug" you!

You May Have a "Wildlife-Friendly" Property

Mullholland tells us that if you frequently see bats at night, there's a good chance that they've made their home somewhere in a nearby tree. This may indicate that your property (or at least the nearby area) is a safe haven for beneficial wildlife like bats.

Less Need for Chemical Pesticides

Another reason seeing bats flying around your home is good is you'll not need to use as much bug spray to keep biting insects away, or pesticides to protect your plants from ravenous insects as bats are pest controllers.

They're Good for the Ecosystem

If you see bats flying around your home, they are eating tons of bugs every night, which means bats are playing an important role in keeping the local ecosystem healthy and balanced. That's another reason it's good to have bats nearby.

Some Bats Are Important Pollinators

Though most bats you'll find in the United States are insectivores, some parts of America (particularly in the Southwest and Hawai'i) have bats that eat flower nectar and fruit. Even if they're not going after bad bugs, though, these bats still play an important role in your local ecosystem (and garden) by acting as nocturnal pollinators. In fact, over 500 plant species worldwide rely on bats as pollinators!

Most Common Myths About Bats

Even knowing all the good things about bats, you may still be concerned about having them around. After all, some people think bats are dangerous animals. However, a lot of the conceptions people have about bats are based on myths and exaggerations of the truth. While all wildlife should be treated with caution (and not approached by anyone who's not an expert), bats really aren't as scary as these myths would make them seem. In fact, the presents of bats is actually a good sign and should not be viewed as a threat, as these creatures avoid light and noise and tend to just go to areas where food is.

Myth: Bats Are Pests

By now, it should be clear that bats are far from pests—if anything, they're anti-pests. In fact, Mullholland actually encourages people to do more to make their homes and neighborhoods more bat-friendly!

"Bats are good for the garden, they eat a lot of what we might consider as pests, like mosquitoes," reiterates Mullholland. "Bats' habitats are under threat, so we should try and help them as much as we can, by creating wildlife-friendly gardens and more habitats for bats."

Myth: All Bats Carry Rabies

This is a big one that a lot of people believe, and that's partially because there's a small kernel of truth to it: bats can carry rabies, and should you ever make direct contact with a wild bat, the CDC advises that you immediately report to a medical provider or your public health department. But the likelihood of you ever encountering a rabid bat is very, very rare. In fact, according to Mullholland, less than 1% of the entire wild bat population carries rabies at any given time.

Myth: Bats Will Attack Humans

Like most wildlife, healthy bats have little desire to come into any contact with humans: they might prefer hunting around the well-lit eaves of your home at night, but they have no interest in you.

"Bats won't attack humans intentionally, unless they feel threatened or cornered in some way," Mullholland reassures us. "Most human contact happens unintentionally."

That being said, on the (very, very) slim off-chance that you are ever bitten by a bat, you should immediately seek out medical treatment, including possible rabies prevention. It's also why you should never attempt to approach a sick or injured bat yourself—call a wildlife rescuer instead.

Myth: Bats Will Intentionally Entangle Themselves in Your Hair

This bat myth is a classic camp horror movie trope: the innocent ingenue is fleeing a haunted castle, only for a bat to suddenly fly in her face and get tangled up in her hair. But in real life, bats are even less likely to try to wind themselves up in your 'do than they are to attack you in the first place.

"No, this is quite the opposite of what they really want!" says Mullholland. "This is another myth, and I think it's a fear of a lot of people. Bats will actively try to stay away from people."

Myth: Bats Are Blind

It's true that bats aren't the most keen-sighted animals, but they are far from blind! It's just that sight isn't their preferred method of navigating the world.

"They have eyes and they have vision, but they rely heavily on echolocation," Mullholland clarifies. "They emit very high-pitched sounds which rebound off objects, allowing them to navigate their landscapes."

What Should You Do If Bats Are Near Your House?

The short answer? If a bat is near your home or garden, do nothing, really, just leave them alone to do what they do best. You don't want to try to scare them away. The bats there will already have pretty much everything they need due to all the bugs flying around it.

However, if a bat enters your home, don't worry. All you have to do is turn off your lights so its dark, then open your door or window so they have a way back outside and wait for them to fly out itself.

How to Attract Bat to Your Home

After reading this and seeing all the reasons why bats a good sign, you may be wondering how you can attract them to your yard? The good news is, you can do a little more to make your home just a bit more bat friendlier for your flying friends. "You can try planting more flowers, which will attract moths and other pollinators, and you can try incorporating more wildlife-friendly gardening features," Mullholland suggests. "A pond is a great example—this will attract more insects and different kinds and that will help aid bats too."

And if you really like having bats around, you might consider putting up a bat box/bat house—essentially a birdhouse, but for bats. Make sure you read up on proper bat box placement and design guidelines before you install or build one though, to prevent bats from potentially overheating while they sleep during the daytime. However, a well-placed, well-built bat box can give your friendly nocturnal visits a safe place to rest their wings before their nightly pest control duties!

According to Last Chance Animal Rescue, a 1-year-old French bulldog mix named Blueberry and a seven-month-old black kitten named Meadow both entered care after traumatic injuries that required leg amputations. Each was adjusting to life as a tripod while recovering at a veterinary hospital. That is where they met, and their bond formed almost immediately.

The rescue shared that the two began navigating recovery together, learning to move confidently and relax during downtime. The number links to a registry that stores your contact info, so it's important to keep that info up to date if you move or switch phone numbers.

The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) provides more information about the importance of microchips.

"A significant advantage of microchipping is its permanence. Unlike collars and tags, which can be easily lost or removed, a microchip provides pets with lifelong ID. This tiny device is embedded under your pet’s skin, making it tamper-proof and impossible to lose. As a result, your pet can always be identified and returned to you, even if they lose their collar or ID tag, or if their tag becomes worn and illegible."

They also provide numbers to back up the success of reuniting microchipped pets with their pawrents. "According to the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), lost dogs with microchips are returned to their owners at a rate of 52.2%, compared with just 21.9% for those without. For cats, the difference is even more striking: Microchipped cats are reunited with their owners at a rate of 38.5%, compared with only 1.8% for cats who are not microchipped."

Cute Reactions to Eleanor the British Shorthair and Her Tabby Cat Beau

Like us, other viewers were just as smitten with this kitty romance and left nearly 1,500 comments about the feline love story. Commenter @Shaneanigans shared a Eleanor looking down at her prince from the balcony and said, "Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?" @dhea had one of our favorite comments with, "Romeow and Julicat."

@Lesya Artymchuk pointed out, "He is definitely not a stray, look at that collar. I think he is a rebel prince from another kingdom who fell in love with your princess."

Another commenter shared, "He is such a gentleman!" and we laughed when @Tootsie said, "She played at cool with that oh, I’m just eating grass thing..."

Others pointed out that the tabby cat couldn't be a stray because he's wearing a collar. But other cat lovers stepped in with a possible reason for his collar. @luna2 explained, "Some people put collars on cats they feed that way, so it won't get taken by animal control."

We have a stray that we feed, and love the idea of putting a collar on him. But he's feral and would never let that happen!

Bebe is a white-winged parakeet who enjoys the freedom of flying outside and tagging along on his parents' adventures. His resourceful dad has found many creative ways to give him an adventurous life, including building a submarine for Bebe out of a paintball air tank and a food storage container. The now-viral video of the scuba diving parakeet has been met with both awe and anger, but there's no denying that Bebe is one brave bird.

This has got to be a first! Many wild birds are no strangers to the water, but parrot species are much more comfortable on land and in the air. Regardless of species, though, there's no way Bebe isn't the first bird to use a submarine.

A few viewers were left in awe of the daredevil bird and his ocean adventure, like @irelandsspovv, who wrote, "Okay, but that bird is so loved." There's no question that Bebe is the light of his Dad, Steve's, life, but some commenters are concerned about the difference between love and exploitation.

@Saraelizabethglickman shared, "I'm sorry, but this is so stupid and irresponsible as a pet owner. You think the bird enjoyed that? It probably hated it and was scared. I get wanting to have your beloved pet around 24/7, but this is too much."

The bird's adventure received a mixed bag of reactions, but the opinion that matters most is Bebe's. "I can't tell if he hates it or is just super intrigued," admitted @jsphotography.jpg. That's how I felt when I saw this viral video, too. The sweet parakeet wasn't in obvious distress, but he didn't look like he was having a great time, either.

Building a Bird Submarine

After Bebe's underwater adventure went viral, Steve posted a follow-up video to explain how he built his pet bird's custom submarine. Of course, Bebe was on his dad's shoulder the entire time, and he had a lot to say, too!

This video offers a clearer glimpse into Steve and Bebe's relationship, and there's no doubt the little bird feels comfortable with his dad. Other videos on their account show the parakeet riding on his dad's helmet during a bike ride and tagging along on other adventures, but that doesn't guarantee he was comfortable in his submarine. Still, Steve's invention does seem very thoughtfully built.

Bird mom @tigglywinks said, "I have a canary-winged parakeet named Pickles. Trust me, if Bebe did not want to be in there or was stressed, you would see it. Mine freaks at everything and is extremely vocal when he does not like something. You can basically read his little mind and how he feels very, very clearly. Bebe looks very healthy and happy!"

I sure hope that's the case! This fascinating bird is certainly making a splash, but no amount of views is worth sacrificing a pet's comfort.

Goats are natural climbers and are very curious, so they’ll try to jump around as much as they can. This is especially true for baby goats, as the video above shows! Pawing is another interesting quirk that goats do, which means they want attention. 

Head butting is another goat habit that can be a little concerning, but is actually very normal. It’s a way that goats show dominance over each other in a herd and shouldn’t cause too much concern.

This gorgeous boy is sure he's found his moment, as this video from TikTok'er @Purrince Charlie shows.

He appears from around a corner with his prize firmly gripped in his mouth and carries it proudly past the camera. His mom thinks he's convinced he's found a bag of furry mice, which, in a cat's world, is a major jackpot. Commenters on TikTok aren't so convinced and think maybe he knew exactly what he was getting! One replied, "Beauty king," while another thought, "a win is a win."

Why Cats Decide Certain Things Belong To Them

These formidable beasts can be spotted all over sub-Saharan Africa, especially near the water. They are highly territorial and possess many ways of taking down rivals and opponents. Can you guess what animal this is?

It's the hippopotamus! These massive animals can be seriously deceiving when they're up to their eyes in water, but once they reveal their full size, anyone would feel intimidated. But how are they capable of killing hundreds of people per year?

Biologically, hippos are nearly indestructible. Their tough skin and thick muscle (yep, that's all muscle!) are difficult to scratch or penetrate, and they can grow to a massive 4 tons. Because hippos are highly territorial animals, both males and females can be aggressive when people are nearby. Males fight among themselves for territory, as well, while females care for their young.

One study found that hippo attacks had an exponentially higher fatality rate than those of other African animals. Hippos had a fatality rate of 86.7%, while lions and leopards had 75.0% and 32.5%, respectively.

Hippos are considered Africa's deadliest land animal because few people expect them to be so aggressive. However, another animal would take this title if insects were included. As scary as animal attacks may be, one insect kills nearly a million people per year with little or no warning at all.

Meet the mola mola! These odd fish are also known as ocean sunfish because of the way they 'sunbathe' at the surface of the water, but they're normally found below the surface in tropical and temperate climates. Even so, many people never get to see these strange animals with their own eyes.

I have been lucky enough to see ocean sunfish several times at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The first time I saw one as a child, I was obsessed! These fish don't look like they should be able to swim, let alone thrive, in the vast ocean, but they somehow always find a way. I was also lucky enough to see the aquarium's newest resident for myself the day after this video was posted, though the fish was very shy and didn't come too close to the glass.

It was heartwarming to know I wasn't the only person fangirling over this special animal. Another person commented, "I went to your aquarium when I was a teen and was completely mesmerized by them! I sat on the stairs and watched them for like well over an hour. You had, I think, 3 or 4 of them at the time."

It's hard to forget such a memorable fish! The mola mola may not be as well-known as sharks, dolphins, or even angler fish, but they make an impact on those who notice them. They even make an appearance in the Animal Crossing video games alongside a cheesy joke: "I caught an ocean sunfish! Good thing I'm wearing ocean sunscreen!"

The Monterey Bay Aquarium's informational video about their newest resident was chock-full of interesting facts, but it only scratched the surface of sunfish knowledge. Did you know that the mola mola is the largest bony fish in the entire ocean? With a weight up to 5000 pounds and a size over 10 feet long, these sea pancakes can grow to behemoth sizes.

If you're hoping to see a record-breaking mola mola in Monterey, however, you might be disappointed. Not only do the sunfish off the coast of California only grow to around 1000 pounds, but they're also returned to the sea when they grow to a certain size. One commenter learned this at their recent trip to the aquarium when a staff member explained that a recent sunfish resident “got airlifted out.”

Dinner at our house is usually effortless and my dogs know the drill. Their kibble gets scooped, bowls hit the floor and within seconds, it’s gone. I tend to keep a 22-pound bag stocked from my local dog bakery, which delivers for free during the week. For that reason, it’s easy to store, easy to serve and doesn’t require much thought on my end.

What Comes in a JustFoodForDogs Delivery Box

I tried the Variety Pack Sampler Box (18 oz, 14 pack), which includes six different recipes meant to be rotated throughout the week.

Inside were frozen meals like chicken and rice, beef with potatoes, turkey with pasta and more unique options like venison and squash. I liked not having to commit to one recipe upfront, especially with two dogs who don’t always agree on everything.

Everything arrived frozen and well insulated, which meant the first step wasn’t feeding them. It was actually making space in the freezer to store everything.

If you're concerned about preservatives in your pet's food, the meals are made with human-grade ingredients and gently cooked before being frozen, with no added preservatives. The freezer essentially does that job.

What The Food Looks and Smells Like

The first time I realized this was going to be a different type of dog food was when I could see actual chunks of meat, vegetables and even noodles in the fresh dog food. Once thawed, I realized it looked much closer to something I'd recognize from my own kitchen than traditional dog food.

The smell, though, was a different story. While the dogs didn’t hesitate to eat it, the aroma of the food was stronger than I expected and not something my human family flocked toward. It’s definitely more pungent than kibble, so that’s worth considering if you’re sensitive to food smells. The venison, in particular, had a more pungent odor than the other recipes.

How to Transition Your Dog to JustFoodForDogs

I followed a gradual transition, mixing the thawed food with their kibble over several days.

Sophie Grace adjusted quickly and had no issues. Rosie Barker typically has a more sensitive stomach, so I expected at least a small adjustment period. To my surprise, both dogs actually handled the transition well and didn’t have any lingering issues.

What Happened After a Week on JustFoodForDogs

By the end of the first week, both dogs were consistently finishing their meals in record time. I knew they liked it when they wouldn’t leave my side while I was getting their food ready. They stayed close the entire time and didn’t dance around until the bowls were set down.

The biggest shock for me was how much they loved it! I knew they liked human-grade food (and have probably had more than what's recommended), but this felt like a noticeable step up in excitement compared to what they were used to eating.

As far as flavor goes, they didn’t show a clear preference. They seemed to enjoy all of the recipes equally, which made rotating through the variety pack easy.

When I looked at the price, my first thought was that it was higher than I expected. Based on their feeding guidelines, I’d go through about one and a half to two packs a day for both dogs. At full price, it’s closer to $20+, which definitely adds up quickly.

For reference, the 22-pound bag of kibble my dogs were eating previously costs about $86.59 every six weeks, or roughly $2.06 per day, which is significantly lower.

Convenience and Prep

This is where JustFoodForDogs feels the most different from kibble. The process isn’t as simple as scoop and serve. It’s freezer to fridge, to measuring cup, to bowl, and that takes a bit of planning ahead. An 18-ounce pack can take up to 24 hours to thaw in the refrigerator, so this isn’t something you can decide on at the last minute.

On nights when I forgot to thaw a pack ahead of time, it meant adjusting their meal to be heavier on the kibble side or waiting longer than usual. Compared to scooping kibble from a container at room temperature, this routine feels more involved day to day.

Portioning also took more effort than I expected. The feeding guidelines are detailed, but I found them time-consuming to follow. It recommends measuring food by weight for accuracy, which makes sense, but realistically, I was using measuring cups. I also found myself double-checking the chart more than I expected, which made it feel less intuitive than just scooping kibble.

Once the food is thawed, though, serving itself is quick. Just peel back from the corner and you'll be able to easily scoop out your serving. This feels worth it if my dogs eat it happily and tolerate it well, but it’s harder to justify if the cost starts to feel like something I have to plan around. In a perfect world, I’d keep the variety pack on auto-ship and rotate it in regularly. Realistically, I’d probably use it as a topper to stretch it a bit further while still giving them something fresh.

Like all dog food, there were things I liked and things I didn't. Below are my thoughts:

In a heartbreaking TikTok posted by PBS Nature as part of their “Becoming Elephant: The Orphans of Reteti” series, the narrator and his rescue mother revealed that Long’uro lost his trunk at just a few weeks old.

"Long’uro fell into a well," she explained. "The mother tried her best to take the baby out, but she lost hope and left [him] inside the well." After being left in the well, Long'uro waved his trunk to try to get someone's attention to rescue him the whole night.

"A hyena came at night and just grabbed the trunk," she continued. "Three-quarters of the trunk is gone [and Long'uro is] feeling pain." While recounting the story, his rescue mother got emotional and added that, "Even when Long'uro arrived with a wound, it makes everyone cry."

"It makes you feel like it's your own baby suffering like that," she said. "We were wishing that he would get better quickly so that he could survive with all the wounds and pain."

Despite his heartbreaking injury, Long'uro still went up to her and asked for plenty of pets and affection, but seeing him that way broke so many people's hearts.

"Such a kind woman," one person commented on the video. "Wish more people had this level of empathy 🥺."

"The way she became emotional," another one pointed out. "I'm glad Long'uro has people who care looking after him now."

"Their trunk is everything to them," another person pointed out, and noted that Elephants have "40,000 individual muscles in the trunk," while "[humans] have [around 600] in our entire body."

According to the Cleveland Zoological Society, "The trunk is connected to the elephant’s head by a bony opening in its skull" and is used to help an elephant "eat, drink, trumpet, smell, communicate with each other, and grab objects."

After Long'uro finally healed from his injury, he had to learn to adapt to his new lifestyle. The narrator explained that he "had to develop his own ways to survive" at only eight months old.

"When he was a very small boy, he was struggling to browse," his rescue mother said. "But Long'uro found good ways to adapt. When the other [elephants] are using their trunk, he kneels down and uses his mouth like a cow."

What a sweetheart! This gentle old soul just wants to be cared for and loved. Luckily, Fran has just as much love to give as he does, which means he's had companionship and love for as long as he's been in the animal shelter.

Of course, nothing comes close to the love of his first parent. It's heartbreaking that they had to say goodbye, but it's also reassuring to know that they shared ten years of love together. Are Pup Cups Good for Dogs?

First, we need to establish that a pup cup generally means a small coffee cup filled with whipped cream. That's usually it (though some include a spoonful of peanut butter). Of course, chocolate, caffeine, and xylitol (a sugar substitute that can harm or kill a canine even in small doses) should always be avoided. None of these will make it into your dog's pup cup, though; just make sure they're not present in any other cafe snacks.

So, is a little whipped cream now and then alright for your beastie? Probably! Many dogs, my little Smokey included, are lactose intolerant. That means even a small amount of cream could lead to an upset stomach (or the dreaded dog gas). But if you know your pooch doesn't have that problem, go for it, provided it's an occasional indulgence that doesn't interfere with meals. That might be the best way to view the situation that Sir Lancelot, the Yorkshire Terrier, recently found himself in. He attempted to fight his snake stuffed animal, but somehow ended up losing that fight. It’s just one of those things that only a goofy dog can somehow manage to do.

This fight definitely started off in Sir Lancelot’s favor. He had his snake stuffy by the throat, and he wasn’t letting go. In fact, based on this footage, we would say that Sir Lancelot was actually giving this stuffed snake a pretty good thrashing.

But somehow, that didn’t last very long. Next thing Sir Lancelot knew, the tables had turned. All of a sudden, his inanimate snake toy was winning the fight. And this snake really did a number on Sir Lancelot, managing to pin him pretty good without any hope of escape.

ABC7NY spoke with Rocky's dad, William Chan, who explained the dog was being watched by another family member who had gone inside to feed the dog and other family pets. In the short time he was gone, the dog was taken from their property.

Police in New Jersey are looking to speak with the woman and a child who were caught on security video taking a family's dog from its owner's backyard over the weekend.

The look on the woman's face proves she knew exactly what she was doing and felt no guilt or shame about it. It was also clear that the dog belonged to somebody since he was wearing a harness and collar.

ABC7NY said in the video's caption that police are looking to speak with the woman and a child who were caught taking the family's dog over the weekend.

We did a quick Google search to see if Rocky had been found, but there has been no update as of this writing.

Viewers Are Appalled by the Smiling Woman and the Excited Child Stealing the Dog

Viewers who watched the dog-napping unfold were appalled by the woman’s behavior, not just because she was smiling, but because she allowed the young boy to help her grab the dog, who was clearly trying to get away.

Some viewers were confused because the news story said the dog was taken from the backyard, but it looked like he was in the front yard. @Zara shared, "I'm confused too. It looks like they were in the front and trying to help get him out of the road."

Another commenter replied, "Apparently, they took this dog and did NOT do the right thing by locating an owner?! Because no one had been contacted, it would tell me the intentions here weren't what you think."

Everybody's hoping that Rocky is returned to his family soon and that this woman receives some sort of fine or punishment for stealing the dog.

Luckily for the tiny jumping spider who descended from the barn roof inches from his face, Oshie isn't one of those horses. Instead, he's a curious creature who could make friends with anyone! His adorable, curious response to spotting the tiny spider has viewers watching on repeat, and it gets cuter every time.

Oshie is such a cutie pie! The way he tilts his head to get a better look at his tiny new friend is the most precious thing, but I can't imagine the spider felt the same way. It must've been freaking out being so close to such a large animal!

"It's the instant lock in and ears up the moment the horse notices," that left commenters like @lilgremlin61 grinning from ear to ear. Horses can be so expressive if you know what body language signals to look for, but it doesn't even take a horse expert to see how fascinated Oshie is about the jumping spider.

Eventually, Oshie's mom, Reagan, gently lifted the spider away with her riding crop. As curious as the critters were about one another, this move was for the best! With such a massive size difference between the two, it wouldn't take much for a single misstep to end their friendship way too soon.

As this precious footage shows, these cows were totally affectionate and loving with Chief, accepting him as one of their own almost immediately. And he loved them just as much, playing with them and spending tons of time with them, almost as soon as he arrived on this farm.

According to the top comment on this video, this was a special time for both little Chief and this farm: “I can’t believe it was six years ago, but 2020 was my fav calving season ever! Chief is on a leash for training. Or he could get trampled by 1500lb cows. Once he was here for about 3 months, he was able to roam freely!”

Throughout this footage, Chief does all kinds of adorable puppy things, mainly rolling around, wagging his tail, and looking around at everything with the cutest curiosity. There is no doubt that he was having a great time.

Fun facts about Dachshunds

According to the American Kennel Club, Daschshunds are known to be both "adorable and determined dogs."

In fact, they were actually originally bred to hunt badgers, with the name "Daschund" meaning "badger dog" in German. While they are known for their small, lean stature, they can weigh up to 35 pounds.

The American Kennel Club also revealed that the original name of the "hot dog" may have been inspired by the adorable dogs. The website revealed that "the original name for the hot dog may have been the Dachshund sausage," and it "received its name because it resembled the dog breed." However, the treat was eventually renamed "hot dog" to shorten its name.

Just take the very derpy Golden Retriever in this video, for instance. He attempts to do problem-solving, but it doesn’t really work out for him too well. Sharing a quick panorama of his living room, the dog dad behind the popular YouTube dog account AGuyAndAGolden showcased the ample amount of space his dogs have to spread out on the couch. Unlike many dog parents who make do with minimal space, this dog dad clearly has all the room for his three dogs to lie down wherever they like. The problem? They want to lie down on top of him instead.

The internet immediately fell in love with the sweet baby and didn't hesitate to express how much they loved him.

On TikTok, @foreverlandfarm has been documenting Zeke’s integration into the herd, and slowly but surely, he’s starting to relax and accept his new home—and his farm animal siblings. At first, his visits were carefully controlled, with Zeke on a lead and the others safely behind fences. But after several weeks, it was finally time for a big milestone: his first solo trip out into the pasture!

Zeke may have found a friend! He’s been hanging out with Gene ever since we’ve been letting him explore the big goat pasture on his own. It’s an interesting connection I honestly didn’t expect. Gene can be a little bit pushy sometimes and for someone as nervous and sweet as Zeke I just didn’t think it would be a match. Gene is gentler with Zeke than everyone else, maybe because he can sense how anxious he is. Zeke’s arrival at the new farm wasn’t without a few challenges. He had to be quarantined for several weeks before meeting the rest of the animals, but once that time was up, his new parents began slowly introducing him to his future friends. As you can imagine, after everything he’d been through, the once-lonely goat was full of nerves and a little anxious, so they made sure to take things nice and slow.

The once-sad goat has started making friends with Gene, which came as a bit of a surprise to his new mom. As she put it, “Gene can be a little bit pushy sometimes, and for someone as nervous and sweet as Zeke, I just didn’t think it would be a match.” But despite his reputation, Gene seems to have taken Zeke under his wing—well, hoof—and the two are quickly becoming unlikely friends.

Followers have become very invested in Zeke and his new lease on life. One person shared, “I feel like a mom watching her kid go to school for the first time and making friends,” while another added, “That one special friend will make all the difference! So happy for Zeke!”

Why Does Zeke the Goat Have No Ears?

This has been a popular question in the comments section of several recent Foreverland Farm videos. As it turns out, Zeke is a LaMancha goat, a breed known for its very small—or seemingly nonexistent—external ears.

While it might look unusual, it’s actually one of their most recognizable traits. LaMancha goats are a popular breed and are traditionally raised as dairy goats.

According to Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, "LaMancha goats are popular as pets due to their temperament. They’re known for their curiosity and affectionate nature, as well as their hardiness in a range of climates."

I have something to admit: my mom still makes me Easter baskets, despite the fact that I have been an adult for a long time. This year, she actually put the Lego Playful Puppy Set in my basket! I just built it, and it came out so sweet:

It was one of the easiest Lego sets I've built, which is good, considering it's for 8-year-olds. It took me an hour and 18 minutes, though it would have been less if I hadn't put one of the legs together backwards. I used both a stopwatch and episodes of The Bear to measure how long it took.

The hardest part is the head, which took about 30 minutes of that time. It was a combination of my fake nails, chubby fingers, and the fact that it's the section with the smallest pieces. It was worth it, though, because it's seriously so adorable I can't stop smiling at it.
